Summary / Objective
Millwright 1 is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, repair, and fabrication of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires performing a variety of strenuous manual labor tasks, including measuring, cutting, welding, material handling, and equipment alignment. The position is designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to working safely and efficiently. Millwright 1 will receive training and guidance from experienced team members while developing the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement within the trade.


Essential Functions:
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in millwright functions.
• Assist with fabrication, including measuring, cutting, and welding.
• Utilize alignment tools and wrenches efficiently.
• Operate and maintain power tools correctly and safely.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the site daily to eliminate hazards.
• Perform material handling and storage duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure incidents or hazards are reported promptly to the superintendent, safety director, or HR manager.
• Ask for training when unsure and accept instructions to ensure tasks are done correctly.
• Help maintain a clean tool trailer and communicate restock needs.
• Learn from previous mistakes and actively work to avoid repeating them.
• Apply growing knowledge and skills to successfully perform assigned duties.


Required Education and Experience:
• N/A


Preferred Education and Experience:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Technical training.
• Current OSHA 10hr Certification (qualified new hires may complete as part of RJT Employment)
• Basic knowledge of tools, welding, and fabrication.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position usually has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:
• Industrial, agricultural, and construction job sites.
• Exposure to varying weather, heights, and confined spaces.
